This year's Nov. Nine...who are you picking to win it?

I followed a bit of the final table bubble (just w updates on WSOP site) and the one player was really taking it to them and acquiring alot of chips (I think it was Dolan if my memory serves me). Was also cool to see 'subimee' in there (< sp? whatever his name is... he's got a MiniFtops Avatar on Fulltilt and is a MTT reg.).

    Who's your pick?

was watching final table bubble last night, guess he's the one who cracked A A with J J. I think the guy's name with A's was Matt something? Anyway, he was pretty upset, nearly (if not) breaking into tears at the table. Eventually composed himself after walking away and came back to table to shake hands. Hate seeing horrible plays rewarded, he called the allin with 8-9M chips left, Q on the board, A A reraised preflop, but he won and now is chip leader, I'm rootin against him. Havent finished watching yet (I have it recorded) but I'm assuming Grinder didn't make it since I haven't heard anything, and pretty sure I heard no big names at final table. He's one of my favorites, first started playing online at Absolute he was the big name there then

Wow, just finished watching, playing in a tourney at De park month or so ago, players were talking about final 9 and said there wasn't anyone you would of heard of. Who hasn't heard of the Grinder. Whole time I was waiting to see how he got eliminated. ONce he moved up figured it had to be a really bad beat. Now I see he's in it, you guys are nuts, Grinder goin to take it all, do what Ivey couldn't last year.

I just went back & read over some of the HH's that I was watching back when the tourney was actually in progress (on WSOP site). Yup, memory served me correctly, it was Dolan who was just hammering it to them on the final table bubble. He chipped up considerably.

Noticed this week that 'subiime' no longer exists on Fulltilt. It is now "Joseph Cheong' and is appearing in red letters as Fulltilt pro status. Hmm.. must be nice, lol. This guy's a strong tourney players & I predict he'll go far in this.

My picks are Dolan & Cheong - headsup!

Just some trivia about this year's WSOP MnEvent...

There were 7,319 entrants which is the 2nd largest live poker tournament ever (the largest being the 2006 WSOP MnEvent which had 8,773players).

Total prizepool is $68,798,600 (but the players in the 'November 9' are also getting interest tacked onto their winnings so the total will go up by a bit).
Here are the final table payouts:
    1st place – $8,944,138
    2
    nd place – $5,545,855
    3
    rd place – $4,129,979
    4
    th place – $3,092,497
    5
    th place – $2,442,960
    6
    th place – $1,772,939
    7
    th place – $1,356,708
    8
    th place – $1,045,738
    9
    th place – $811,823

Not sure about this part here (anyone else know for sure?), but I believe the blinds were at 250k/500k prior to final table bubble. Assuming this is where they'll be starting off at when final table commences (although I'm kinda guessing 300k/600k), the players will be sitting with between 130bb's > 15bb's. There will be 5players with <33bb's (in other words, not really all that deepstacked at all).
The Grinder will start off with ~29bb's (a pretty tough stack to work with imo).
    8th & 9th place players sitting on resteal-sized stacks of 19 & 15bb's.

    Stack sizes are as follows:
    1, Jonathon Duhamel 65,975,000
    2. John Dolan 46,250,000
    3. Joseph Cheong 23,525,000
    4. John Racener 19,050,000
    5. Matthew Jarvis 16,700,000
    6. Filippo Candio 16,400,000
    7. Michael Mizrachi 14,450,000
    8. Soi Nguyen 9,650,000
    9. Jason Senti 7,625,000
