    Default Live vs online

After losing my last bit of br on ft with 5 straight tourney's where I got knocked out by a 2 or 3 outer, I've decided to concentrate more on live tourney's. DE park has $65 tournaments almost everyday. So I'm going to try to play a few times a month and see if I see same things live as I do online. I always hear that the reason you see so many more badbeats online is because you play so many more hands, but you should see that many more 2 and 3 outers lose also, which I don't. In fact, its almost surprising when you see A K hold up against A rag. Well, it will def. take longer to see as I can only play so much live. Can't wait to post my results. Of course, watching the million dollar poker show on nbc with Daniel N. I see the guy win the million first by hitting a 1 outer after flop, he had pocket 8's vs A 8, A on the flop, last 8 comes on river. Then he finishes Daniel off by catching another 8 on river, 4 outer I think, giving him str? Anyway, I know badbeats happen live also, I just have more confidence the better hand wins as often as its supposed to. I will see.

Keep us posted how well these games do and ifyou can remember details, let me hear them

Live i have noticed, Hands that should hold up do hold up very well but Hands I screw up by playing OOP and stuff are attacked a lot harder too. I love it live much more than online, jsut so damn expensive. I got 3 live MTT's with 2 very close to the money and both were stupid plays on my part, betting big on middle pair OOP and I got ATE UP LOL

    so keep us updated

    Played today, early conclusions:

I stink, whether online or live.

After break told myself I was only pushin or foldin, and what do I do, SB, I just call.

Hit top pair, put the rest of my small stack in, called by guy (who prob. would of folded if I pushed pre) who had 2nd pair. Oh yeah, maybe I should mention there was 2 of those on the board (he had trips). Oh well, can't wait to try again.

you gotta check WSOP Main Event.
but seriously, when you get pissed with the cards or your play is only a downward spiral
better relax and enjoy the game abit, and be safe with you BR

One hand I remember very well in tourney I just played because it reminded my of an online hand, so it happens live also:

    hand was J J vs J Q

    flop was 8 9 10

    turn was nothing important

    river 7

somehow J J only called each street and managed to keep good bit of his stack (J Q was the aggressor but I would of probably pushed after flop)

I have enough issues with the online version and the horse races so i think my wife would castrate me if i also started up live games also, yikes don't even want to think about it because i will talk myself into it

i prefer playing live rather than online just because you can read people a lot easier. Its almost impossible to get a read on a player online based on how much time he's using to check his hands and how much he re-raises with crap. Playing live is a ton more fullfilling as well just because you can see the person across from you and when you take them down for all their chips, the look on their face is classic.

Yes. I agree, not much to read online. But, you would be surprised how much playing online has improved my game, live. Sometimes you will see a tight player live place a bet. When he does this, his hand is trembling uncontrollably. He places his bet, and just doen't look too worried. If you call here, you are probably beat unless you have the stone cold nutz. A bluffer would likely "freeze" here, and just stare off into space, or at the board, his chest heaving up and down... How can you see that online? You can't. But there are tells online too. But live poker is just sooooo much more fun. Anyways, peace.
