WTG Dan Abs!!!!
Question to ask oneself in a hand when making a big laydown > "the way the hand has played out, (villain knows I have a hand), would they really be betting into me (or raising) with anything I'm ahead of? (aka.. "what hands can I still beat?") Sometimes (even with what seemed like a big hand) I can really only beat a bluff on the river. Weighing the odds of the % of time they're actually bluffing & what it costs me to call in relation to the pot & how the call will negatively influence my play (ie. will it reduce my stack to a resteal-sized stack or will I still have 30bb's etc. etc.) are just some of the things to consider.
I'll often make what seem like big laydowns in tournament play & for sure at times I'm folding the best hand but I try not to let it bug me at all. I'm there to win the war... not just the battles.
gl in the next ones!!!
