Big Month, Bi Monthly, Semi Annual with WSOP SEAT on the line

Still doing my league thing and this is the month for big things,

Next weekend is the the Bi Monthly point game where top prize is $300, and lets hope I do last a little longer than 15 minutes this time

AND THE TUMBLEWEED WILL BE TRAVELING THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND,

THE SEMI ANNUAL TOURNAMENT, APPOx 300 people 44 prizes paid out, top prize a $1500 (whatever that buys you into) WSOP seat plus airfare and some decent prizes if you dont win but can make it. THe way I understand, tehre will be 3 different sessions and each session will play for 3 hours and who ever is left will reconvene Sunday and thats when the prizes are on the line. BUt there are some hard obstacles here. Ya know all the times Im posting about playing league games, well for every win you get 500 extra chips to start with so some dudes will be starting with 4-5x the starting stack as others. I have 14 wins so I will be getting starting with 16.5K stack and some will be starting with over 50K so I gotta play it tight right and figure out pretty quick who I will be able to chip up from and preferably not vice versa.

1st Place- $1500 seat in the 2012 WSOP

I wasnt gonna make the drive as it was suppose to be in DAytona with all orlando and jacksonvill players but they moved 2 hours further south where they have no affilations.

BUT I SAID DAMN IT ROB GO DOWN THERE and at least try thats what all the wins are heading for and it will be good MTT practice

OK THE 2 week tour begins today

THE BI MONTHLY game top prize $300 with top 10 payout, last time I got knocked out quick with a big blind special IM in with AJ against BB 35 (AND THIS IS WHAT I GET FOR LIMPING, flop 35A and thats all she wrote for me, I raised got re-raised- I called and the nothing turn and river cards just sent me packing.

OK TODAY IM PLAYING TIGHT FOR THE FIRST FEW LEVELS and then I will open it up somewhat I GOT TO MAKE IT TO THE sexond session when the chance for prizes hit


NEXT WEEKEND IS THE BIG ONE, the SEMI ANNUAL, hotel is reserved, sesssion time is reserved for first day ( we play for 3 hours and whoever is left gets to go FOR THE WSOP SEAT THE NEXT DAY) first things first though

BIG TIME - WHAT A GREAT DAY, the quick story FINAL TABLE BITCHES 6th place for $75

20 minute levels and divided up into 2 groups that play at different times, and then after 3 levels anyone still alive is all combined

Played so super tight first levels only won 4 hands to get my blinds back so Started with 5K and at the end of the 1st 3 levels I was down to 3K and

So we combined at I knew I had one move and that was shove. FInally Hit 44 and pushed all in got 4 callers and hit my set, Quaded up to 12K and first time in tourney I had breathing room

MOMENT OF TRUTH CAME, you know the crossroad hand that decides your fate. I have TT and was gonna try to just fold everyone but someone acted before (A DUDE WHO PUSHES USUALLY GREAT hANDS) he pushes 14K and I have 17K so I just had to think for about a minute thinking he had AA or KK and just said out loud, well there is a moment you hit a cross road to either lose or a position to win so I called the 14K bet. He flips AJs misses everyone Hand holds up and got rid of a good player and OVer 30K now

I only played on stupid hand after that and SAID STOP, ONLY PREMIUMS if it aint worth raising it aint worth betting. And I won a few small pots and stole some blinds from an old lady beside by jacking up the bet when SB and made it to final table

TT once agains saves my ass and chips me up nicely at the final table, NOW THE HAND that I think started my downfall in at least mentally. I get delt QJo and fold instead of betting 8K and my heart just sunk FLOP QJ7 BIG BETS Turn and river did nothing except me watching a pot I had won grow to colost to 45K to see AQ take the pot down. From there I didnt want to play junk but I didint know what to do ALAIS MY FINAL TABLE SKILLS SUCK. I limped (VERY BAD) with ATs and got callers and missed the flop and got raisers and I folded out. Blinds were at the 8K/16K level and I ccouldnt cover both blinds anymore so on my BB was the only hand I felt might hold up Q8s but got 2 callers and the flop AA5 I knew my fate was sealed and it was 6th fucking place out of 108 people AWESOME RUSH HAVING SO MANY RAILERS AND JUST FELT GREAT

we will be reading your road reports with interest

great to see crucial hands hold up or get a bit of luck - you need both IMHO for players to get to final table

not sure I could shove with 44 but making trip 4's on a 4 way pot must have got the adrenaline pumping

Well Im thinking of taking my 6th place and running with it. They have posted the prize list for the semi annual and unless you win the WSOP seat, the other prizes arent very desirable. So Im looking at options and what would be better. For the price of gas for 2 hours each way, The hotel and all the other fees that this ride will cost, I could buy in for 5 smaller buy in MTTs at the card room. I dont get why the bi monthly they give you vouchers for the track but the big semi annual is the WSOP and some very bland prizes aka 32' TV - Kindle - Crusie for 2 etc. Maybe since its FREE poker its gotta go around the sweepstake laws and such

OH well, this thing used to be held in my town and mfor reason the first time I can play it oves 2 hours (and 4 hours away from our furthest city) and we dont even have games going on where its being held

OH Well Im still hyped on my 6th place and cant see wasting money on this

Maybe I shouldnt be so shortsighted, I should of just took the trip to melbourne and played for a seat. MY division didint do very well, we took 2nd but the best after that was 13th. Its just its odd the points MTT pays out money (track vouchers) while the big event for WSOP is giving out lame prizes, but it still would of been good to test out the waters THINK I WONT PUSS OUT THIS TIME

Well the poker high doesnt last too long, not even 24 hours as it seems like years ago since I have made a final table live and its been less than2 weeks

WENT TO THE TRACK AND PROVED what a I have been saying, MY NL SKILLS SUCK Im not sure how some people talk abotu just sitting down and dominating a table. I find it really hard to do when the table range is A-2 but I did so something so stupid that it built up my ability to push and lose money. had 99vs JJ called a$175 bet with my $60 and lost. but least I called. I gotta start making some traction in NL. SO i lost appox $50

LIMIT I made Appox $20 but limit just feels so non poker and so pitching pennies that it drives me crazy. Im still not a big fan of pitching dollars in a hand Im a head and know im ahead only to have people stay in the pot to have me dominated by the river GTFOOTP GET THE FUC OUT OF THE POT

Gonna hit some live MTTS Soon and will update. but this NL play is starting to bug me, as I gotta get it together, still I need to be rolled better also to play
