This was discussed during the main event. Is chris moneymaker good. or did he just get lucky and win the WSOP Main event in 2003. Personally i think hes a very good poker player when he wants to be.

Every man that has managed to win the main event, we just have to give them a lot of credit. Guys like jaime gold who i think is the worst player on the planet but he was chip leader the entire event last year, and he knocked a lot of players. I remember the year moneymaker won i saw a hand against chan where he was tremenduosly lucky, but u have to show a lot of skill to win the main event.

for me moneymaker is a lucky player. look at him at the main event 2007. simple mistakes there (can not count his chips,...)

i don't think luck alone could have gotten him the the final table. it was obvious he was having a bad day.

in some of the after tourney things ive heard said he was an idoit and flashed live cards which is cheating in my book

i ve seen a lot of videos from the year moneymaker won, and i have to say that he got lucky every time there was a lot of money on the pot. And i think twice he hit something like a 3 outer on the river.

I didn't really see the Moneymaker win, but I can say that you cannot win any event with just luck. He had to win a sattelite, then the main event, he had to have had some skill.
