dumbest question asked by a newbie on a live game.

i've been dealing poker for some time now, and the other day i think i finally heard the dumbest question-

small 1/2 blind no limit game, new player stops the game to ask if he can ask a question, i explain, i can't tell you the quality of your hand but if its a technical question shoot:............

"ok, how many decks are we playing with????????"

my answer, "one, but we add two jokers............."

to his confused face he asks how they play.


of course i conceded i was bluffing

one night a friend took another guy with him and he told us he had been playing for some years and somehow most of us thought he might be a good player. Well the thing was when we delt the first hand he was in a late position and as soon as he had his two cards he quickly saw+ it and started looking at us very nervous, we all started laughing that was fun.

I was playing a home game, and I was holding 33. The board came 322 with 2 spades. I ended up being all in with a guy hold J 8 of spades. I said to the table "You'll need running 2s, running jacks, or running 8s to win." Then 2 other people argued that a flush will beat my full house, and the other 2 at the table didn't know what beat what.

last week at a 13 seat sit and go 30 enrty had been going from 2 am to 6 am, now its heads up and the lady for the last 30 min asked is it just me and you? 4 others had stayed for the action. and just rolled their eyes...she still didnt know what the dinominations where. She kept shorting the pot, DUMBASS!
