online chips don't sound as good and avatars dont give any tells
I have to agree. There is nothing better then seeing another player quickly count his chips after a flop and know he has hit the nutzz. You cant tell that online. The only thing you can do is watch his betting pattern. But any good plyer knows you have to change your pattern to make some money. I vote live poker anyday.

The best one is indeed live poker but live is very expensive so if we like cheap poker and can only play cheap poker, there's no choice than online poker

Having only ever played live once since taking up this wonderful pasttime I have to agree. The sheer buzz I got when looking into the eye of the person before you raise/call them is worth a kings ransom.

I definitely intend to play a lot more live tournaments now I have been bitten by the bug ....

I have never played ina live game before I am however very close to a large gameing place so maybe I should give it a whirl. But, frankly I am a little worried that if I ever start to play in person as fond as I am and as much time as I pass playing online it might consume my life.

Online is great, but it if comes down to it, I'd prefer live play. Though I don't play live often, it's a thrill to take down a monster and see your opponents facial expression and demeanor. Live play has more advantages than online because you get a feel for your opponents and see how they respond after certain outcomes.

I think live is more fun and interesting, but I play more online because it's more profitable.

I enjoy both live play and online play. Home games are the best.

Good point Lynda, love having fun and taking down during occasional home game.

gonna have to agree with the majority here, live play is where its at. way more tells on your opponents, less bad beats and overall i believe people are way more tuned in and focused for a live game or tourny. not to mention we get to fiddle with our chippies !
