i started playing online with play money, after a while i made a 100k plus bankroll, i thought i was good, so i decided to play with some real money, played small no limit games and stngos. after a while i lost $50. series of bad beats, crazy calls, runner runners...so i started playing live. 9ppl stngo buy in $20+$4, my first live money game, i was third, first two gets the prize. then set at ring game after a while $50 minimum buy in. raise $15 with AJ, two players follow, flop comes A24, i raise again, player next to me goes all in, second player calls, i fold. turn comes 5, river comes 5. guy who went all in after my raise shows 33, and wins the big pot. after that i lost another $100, with AQ and A5s against 43 and 63 even though i raised and raised pre flop, both floped their straights.
so the conclusion is this: no matter what poker u play, live or online, there are always rich players who likes gambling, and there is no bet that will make them fold their hand.
online poker has some advantages...u can find all sort of games any time u want to play and u can play more then one game at time
u dont get so much 4of a kind, full houses or runner-runner in live poker, and u can learn the pattern some players are playing if u play with them few times.
