Last week I finally took 1st place in one of the Rounder's Radio "Winner Take All" games. I won $60 and a $60 Satellite coupon.![]()
So, yesterday I entered the 22K with my hard won coupon. It was my first time in a tournament with that big of a prize pool and I was excited. I didn't get too many hands for the first hour, but was ok. After the break, I was moved to another table and took 3 or 4 hands in a row, knocking out a couple people in the process. It was great fun while it lasted.
After that, I went totally card dead and couldn't pull much together for another hour or better. I was at that point where it's "do or die," "all-in or nothin." I finally saw the best hand I'd seen in a while with only 2 or so bb left, A T of hearts. So I went all in and was out in 44th place.
All in all, it was a great experience. I played with a lot of people at Carbon I'd never played with before, got to take some notes and got some experience in a higher stakes tournament. Now, I should be better prepared for Next Time!
