Carbon - when did it get so tight?

Went back to carbon this week because I get rakeback there and god the play is tight. Playing .25/.50 and .50/1.00 NL ... very few flops ... wow. can't wait until my free money comes in at bodog next week and i go back there.

play is a great deal looser at the lower limits, give them a try it will probably be a lot more profitable for you.

I really dont think Carbon / Merge is tight

I guess maybe Bodog and Pacific possibly but I would say equally loose games, compared to most other sites carbon / Merge is loose loose loose

especiall compared to Fulltilt

PokerStars tends to be more of mixed bag with both super tight games and a few looser games

just had a look at the couple of tables on Merge

25/50 tables on merge and the %totheflop rate was 54%-57% that is loose as hell

50/1 36%-$55%

there is even a $2/4 game with a % of 45%

compare this to Fulltilt (at same time) ...

25/50 & 50/1 games generally had %toflop of 19%-32%

2/4 games best I could find was 19%-26%

Bodog stats

25/50 & 50/1 ... 23%-47%
$2/4 ... 41-47%

Tightening games generally maybe but relative to original loose or tight reputiation

to be honest I think that adding rakeback to any site or network makes the games tighter - as it attracts more nits and isnt something the fish even look for ... so more rakeback promenence more grinders just playing to grind RB = tigher games

that IMHO is on some of the bigger sites where they have got very much tigher - good players playing good players and less fish to go round

ALL sites generally seem to be getting tigher as more players do bother to try and improve there game

BUT Merge while it does currently have much range of games is Loose loose loose

thats my take on it

definitely loosened up today. made some big money ... $38 up to $300 plus in one day. hit quads twice and still got paid off.

but while preflop might have been loose before by the stats, it was very tight afterward.
