I don't think it's the size, it's more the font they chose, and ya it's lousy. And I do miss seeing my roll amount at the top.

new Merge is a memory hog too
I had Carbon open (just looking at the lobby) used the same amount of memory as watching 15 tables on FullTilt.

This is why I quit playing Age of Empires series, Ensemble Studios decided making the game look pretty was more important then function and playability.

Developers design things with the expectation that their game/site is all your going to use. Seriously who in this day of age (under the age of 40 that is) doesn't multi-task? Be it playing poker, reading a poker forum, tweeting, LIKE things on facebook, research stocks in their portfolio and watch the odd tube movie.........

I do like that the tournament lobbies are now a separate window.
