    Default Lock Poker

Would like to know if anyone, besides me, plays on this site. I set up an account here last year when I found out it had a MAC download version and BEFORE it joined the Merge Network. The transition was quite slow but I was able to play on a Beta version until it was completed. Playing here for a while now and am quite satisfied with the site, and have been able to increase my bankroll quite substantially (as small as it may be).

I don't see many reviews on this site, even in other forums, so I am wondering if there are any problems. I understand that now, Aced also has a MAC download version.

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

    running XP and Ubuntu here
I've scaled back on the number of poker clients I maintain a balance on, really would prefer to just have 1 on the merge network to take advantage of the point system. I was intrigued with the Outs system on Aced, which has still yet to be implemented my money sits there collecting no interest.

    Anything special about Lock Poker?

    Default lock poker usp

    hi

I think it would be fair to say that Lock Poker's USP was it was the only site on Cake Network with a Mac client ... however now its moved to Merge which is all mac compatible that USP has got somewhat diluted

I dont think there are any issues with Lock Poker and as far as I know they're ok
(but they are a very small possibly one woman outfit on Merge) but I would still strongly suggest sticking with Carbon on Merge as they are much stronger bigger part of the network

    hope thats a help

    cheers scrawnybob

I don't know about the other sites on Merge, but Lock does have a few guaranteed re-buy tourneys where the entries + re-buys + add-ons do not surpass the guarantee pay-out, resulting in a +ev. I have made the final table twice in the few I have entered.

Merge is the last best site for US players. Bodog and Cake have smaller player pools. If merge goes down, all hope is lost until ps and ft come back

Default I very much doubt pokerstars or fulltilt will be back

    hi

I have to be honest and say I very much doubt pokerstars or fulltilt will be back in US anytime soon ... if ever

pretty much everyone now out of the US market is pretty negative on it all and how things will likely pan out ...

I think the US land based casinos have had a bloody great big gift horse land in their lap by luck more than anything

Online poker in the US will get "legalised" in a couple of years time (although its most likely alreayd perfectly legal) and "regulated" (like it already was perfectly well in some non US duristictions) with most likely a closed shop for US players only run by US land based casino companies only

then they will force themselves on the rest of the world with their "better regulated" product as if everyone needs them and everything else is cr*p

seriously pi**es me off to be honest - afiaks the US govt cant handle free trade when it's not going in their favour and calls it imperialism or offshore pirates - but as soon as they want to behave like imperialists themselves it will be alright and "saving" the rest of the online poker world

while the DoJ are just following up on the fraud etc in the longer term the way things will work out is going to be shockingly two faced - and we WILL end up swallowing it up and taking it - mores the pity

    cheers scrawnybob

Lock is the only Merge site that i have now. I donīt play that much there but i do like more this site than other Merge skins.

Manage to get 35% rackeback there wich is payed daily, they also have a different player/administration page that i like very much, is linked to sharscope page where you can search 5 times (10 if deposit), can see reports about your points, stats of your winnings by day/month/rb, and even a replayer of hands

    Very cool site.

Agree with you on this - and maybe add they also have a VAULT option where funds can be stored and switched back and forth with playable funds. When they switched to Merge, the first time I logged in, I had $0 in my account, but found out they placed it in my Vault, where you have to set up a security method in order to access it.
Can't really see too much advantage to this - with the exception being that you might want to limit the amount to play with in a certain session or period of time. If you run out you can't simply buy-in for more without first transferring funds from your vault. This might help with regard to money management.

PS: after watching the videos by tuff_fish in Bob's blog, the Vault probably would be a good idea - 4 re-buys in a short period of time (or maybe not - LOL).
