Not all the skins can use the same tournaments, only the same tables.
That's how the skins (individual poker sites) can create their own tournaments, and gain players to register at their site.
That's why i think it's an issue of money making. that's all.

like all the biggest networks such as microgaming, poker.com is a site on the internet, offering a way of betting online. the reason for these big networks create X number of skins, is to get to as many peole they can around the worldwide net in order to make the network veriable and attractive for the customer to make a deposit. x places- same company...

    Default networks & skins

    hi

with networks - the software / network licence the skins out to separate companies - so they are NOT the same companies - some own several skins but they're are several different businesses operating on the same networks - they can buy into the standard network tournament offerings and also add ones of their own

the merge network (as its now called) isnt a massive network

poker.com and carbon are owned by the network owners - pdc / merge

the other sites - nordica etc are skins on the same network but not owned by them - which is why our games can be played through poker.com or carbon

its not really a big network when you look at the others which are -

ipoker - titan, tony G, VC poker, noble poker, fair poker, paradise, CDpoker, betfred etc etc

microgaming - doylesroom, gnuf / dream poker, pokertime, royal vegas, gamingclub, purple lounge etc etc

ongame - pokerroom, europoker, redkings poker, chan poker, hollywood poker, mansion poker, carlos poker etc etc

I'll add links in to our reviews of these sites as we have reviews and bonuses for at least 4 sites on most of the networks who have lots of skins

    cheers scrawnybob

That's pretty cool, I knew SOME were linked, but to see the list laid out like that... it makes ME want to start one on someone's site. No legwork, still decent profits, and still tying into the same network. Seeing as you run this site, you probably know better than I... what steps would be involved in something like that?

Well, his was brought up I see a while ago...

but look around now ... how many new ones appeared just in the last 2 month or so.

The merge software I think is one of the very best. I really like playing on it. the different skins all are making great promos.. so we sign-up ... but with so many it becomes a real nightmare which games to play and which to drop - since of course you cannot multi table them. I would love to know how many people play only on one skin and what % of players have accounts and play on most skins... It is getting pretty confusing. Will they all be able to survive? Is our money safe at all these sites?

    Cheers
    Judith
