Information on players

When I'm playing sng games I use Sharkscope to check out the competition, but it's not so good on MTT games.

I just found this site Official Poker Rankings - Poker Ratings, Poker Results and Statistics the information is only on Pokerstars, Fultilt, Partypoker and ongame but it helps to know how good a player you are up against. Only thing is I wish I hadn't checked my stats lol

SharkScope it pretty darn good!

OPR(Official Poker Rankings) it's great, I like the way it's set up,

but their are a few other sites that I wished they covered.

I will leave links out, not sure if I should put them in here,
but you can also find results if you look hard enough,
for coverage on sites like
A/P,U/B, and some of Cakenetwork MTT's. I find it
kinda cool to check-em out myself even tho
my players aint looking good

I'm using poker tracker at the mo and i must admit it is useful but i would not depend on it as it can cloud certain judgements. We are all trying to find an edge and this is just one of them.
I think that in the end good practice and playing correctly will put you in good stead in the long run even though you get fed up with donks calling your 4x raise with 7-2 off and cracking your bullets!

its also a good idea to take notes on players as well. also watch how people play, even if your not in the hand. you may just learn something you can use later on.

I kinda feel the same about this as you, but Its not worth proving a point, or at least with me it aint!. Your programs you spoke about, I didn't use at table But I will say: I enjoyed looking up set stats at such an what position, an where I was losing the most money with me it was sb, ect, ect, ect.

All truths about this OPR is nothing more than a easy set of tourney records and stats on you games, that you may look up for free, but I would never asume that it worthless, what some can't use other gain by. Its not no secret that winning and lossing players are looking at this same stuff, so ya just never know.

But at the same time a player might be using a program and notice player is a rock he will not call raises without top hands, so you could use that at times against !, but like I said I don't use it for that, but, I was in the 250K here a couple of months ago, I looked up quit a few player prior to the game to just see who I was playing, and believe it or not their were some worst than I..and their were some that had outstanding profit and ROI return that I new I needed to stay out their way if they were betting, I better be pretty damn shure I can take it, an know even though they are good they also have luck on their side, just a thought.

I also agree PLAY YOUR GAME!, an try to stay focused on what you can at the table, but thats another factor lost when multitabling, we count on certain bet and styles at this point,less playing the player.

For multitabling cash game players, something like PokerTracker or HEM is a great tool. Are you capable of estimating stats. on four tables simultaneously? Online is a different game than live.

So if you're only playing the $100+ buyin tourneys on Stars... please tell us your player name. AND.. if you're only playing mtts and not 6-max or ring... how could you possibly know all of the benefits of using (or reasons for not using) Poker Tracker or HEM?? I mean.. how could you offer someone advice on it if you're not familiar with the purpose & use of them?
