Turbo strategy

What approach do you take to playing in Stars turbo tournaments? I've been playing 2.20 180-mans lately and I wind up either going out early or getting to the buble and being very shortstacked (6BBs or less).

I like to play tight and not take flops with suited connectors, etc., because there is such little post-flop play in these things. They're all-in shovefests preflop. I hurt myself the other night in one where I cashed that I folded JJ out of the SB when UTG went all-in, and the button called. It was for my stack and there were still 22 people left (18 got paid). Online is about feel and I felt I had to be behind.

I've been playing alot of 180 mans recently too and came across the same dilemma.

What I have tried(and it works out quite well) is changing gears when there are about 80 or 90 people left.
From this stage I would loosen up slightly/be more aggressive/play more bluffs - trying to build a x2 average stack at least.

Sitting with a nice stack when there are 60 people left gives you so many more options.
