Here's a scenario I've encountered on many occasions sometimes I have recognized it and played accordingly and sometimes I have been not so aware:
MTT usually between 120-500 players. Buyin is usually between 5 and 30$.
Situation: It is getting late in the game somewhere around final 2-3 tables. Everyone has made it ITM so there was the crazyness that ensued. A lot of the small stacks have pushed with mediocre hands and either gone out or doubled because the blinds are too big for them. Play has also loosened up in general with players making it ITM. You see more and more open aggression. So we've just pushed through this point in the tournament. This is where I needed awareness.
You hear of players "switching gears" at specific points in a tournament. This is important and necessary, but I often see players forgetting to switch back. With all of these chips exchanging hands many people are well equipped to take their time and pick their spots, but they are still in hyper-drive and give their chips away.
Let me know what you think. The best ways to exploit... or if you think I'm full o sheit tell me why.
So that was my observation and I have recognized this as a hole in my game sometimes. So the first step is admitting you have a problem. lol
