yep I know how you feel I'm strictly holdem but increasingly I'm starting to think I really ought to be at least reasonable at playing a few other variations

especially now HORSE is becoming a more known tournament format and seems to be viewed as a better way to judge the best all round poker players

time for me to hit those books and get some time in at the omaha and razz tables ;-)

plus I'd love our home games to have a bit of variation - maybe not a total dealers choice but might be nice to play a few hands of omaha etc

although when it comes to playing online seriously to try and make some cash - I think Texas Holdem for most players is the only game in town

I cant play only holdem that would be awful !! the other games are great, and ive noticed there are not so many good players. Think about it, most of the people only play holdem, so there is much more information about the game. On the other hand almost no one play games like stud or razz and for those one who plays they miss a lot of things. I started playing the HORSE freeroll like 3 months ago, and i usually play at the cash tables too its just a great game.

I like to play the HORSE freerolls.

I am strong at hold em, weak at omaha, pretty good at razz, not too bad at seven card stud hi and hi/lo.

Hold em is definetly my preferred game.

I started with NL holdem and it was my favorite for long time , but recently changed to omaha hi-low , easier to beat and a lot less bad beats .

are u sure what u are talking about ?? i mean on omaha there are way more bad beats than in holdem

Its funny cause the Pros play more Omaha cash games than anything else Ive seen. It might be because they get more action. And from the times Ive watched they are very profitable doin so..........

Yep for sure, they think its the less boring cash game so thats why most of them sit there at FTP

Be careful if you do. There is lots of action, and there are lots of sharks. I'd suggest you practice playin with playchips before you go dump money. I lost $35 in about 15 minutes at the PLO .5/.10 tables........I never went back.....
