everytime theres a freeroll for razz /stud 8 or better / stud, theres so many players that dunt know how to play and htey call with anything and they ALWAYS get lucky. Like in one stud tournament i had 2 aces as up cards and i double the bet and sum1 calls all the way and he hits trip tens on the river. The same tournament i raise and reraise with pair of kings and i raise in every turn and he calls and his last 4 cards are all diamonds giving him the flush and he had no card higher than a king. Gotta love online bs
Why do I always get dealt A-2-3-4, then Q-K-K in Razz?
This has happened too many times in Limit Razz tourneys: I get some great cards dealt to me like A-2-3-4, and just need one more low card (5, 6, 7, 8; even 9 or 10 sometimes) to beat my opponent.
I usually bet out when I have such great cards, but then I end up getting Q-K-K or 4-3-K or something like that for my last 3 cards and lose a big pot to a mediocre hand, like 3-6-7-8-9.
Should I hold back my chips until I make a low hand or should I try and build up the pot with the likelihood of hitting a 5th low card? (in a fixed limit tournament)
Razz is a game I like to play for real money. Torny's I find has people playing hands they should/or would normally fold if each hand had money associated to it. But to each their own.
I love razz! it is one of my favorite games! I play it off and on at fulltilt when i have the time. This is not often but i love to try out the new games so that i can familiarize myself with different types of games.
I like to play Razz and other stud games on PS as they tell you what you have! I play on FT too. Advice I saw from Annie Duke was, fold unless you have 8 or better (even though Razz is not an 8 or better game). The exception is if you have 9 as your up card, and all others have higher than 9 showing.
