I think razz is the game in which is more easly bluff.
You can get two bigs hidden cards, but your opponent don't know about that.
If you know him, and you know is a player that only pays bets when he have a good hand you can bluff if the cards he show are big and you have small visible cards.
Is very useful in a early stages of a freeroll or cheap tournament, but you must take care to bluff against experienced razz players, or tight players that only plays hands with the first three cards smaller than eight.

Post Razz

What a big razz blog, i always love when the game in horse changes into razz, not much people can play it, and i make most money from that game, cause it's the easiest fixed limit game, if you get pot limit or no limit razz it gets very , i mean very hard ...

You can try it yourself with small stakes and bigger stakes, cause people will not try to bluf that often, i dont know who made a blog about bluffing > ?? but if i see you holding two or more and higher cards in your hand and im 8 low ill just call all the way ...

Completely depends on if its a cash game or tourney.

A cash game - yes. A tourney, no.

Actually it really depends on what the exposed cards are on board, and if they are cards you need or cards that are duplicates to your A-2-5. Just because you have A-2-5 doesn't mean you are in the lead against the player showing a 6.

As to tournaments or cash games, if I'm ahead I'm going to jam the pot in Razz. If the bricks fall, then I'll have to slow down. But, I'll have the odds to go to 5th street.

Default razz = new favorite game

Recently I have done some simple reading on razz and started playing some small buy in tourneys with around 100 players. After about playing 12 or so of these games, I know it's early but I feel this might be my new game. No limit of course is the big one, everyone knows strategys and the main ways to play thte game. That's one reason I love the other games, especially razz. Normally in most non-turbo no limit games, I will sit out the first 20 minutes or so and let the loose fishies leave the tourney. As for razz, this first 20 minutes is the crucial time to build an early chip lead, as players seem to play way to many hands and don't understand the most basic strategy of the game. My advise with razz, do some simple reading on the game, maybe just 10 or 20 minutes and trust me it will do u wonders in this game. A huge part of the game is strategy. To all , gl in all ur tourneys.

Nomad, great advice! Definitely do some reading on Razz--you'll be way ahead of the other players who think it's easy. Check some articles and books on Razz--they will help.

Actually you are 100% for sure in the lead.

I know what you are saying - but you are saying it absolutely incorrectly.

Big difference between "advantage" and "lead"

At three cards pushing a 6/5 advantage or lead is nothing more than a gamble, regardless of the other cards on the board. There is very little chance that of the six other showing cards that they will alter your odds much, and if they do - then they alter the odds for the other person as well at this point as it would reduce the odds of that person having that value rolled up.

Pushing an 8/9 advantage is a world of difference - as odds are both of you can hit under - but that 8/9 will typically be the deciding card.

And I will go back to what I said originally - it depends on if its a tourney or a cash game.

In a tourney I can push an advantage 10 times ... win ... push it once after that ... lose ... and be hanging on for my life.

In a cash game ... losing that 11th time is just a loss, more than made up for by the previous 10 wins. Those rising stakes makes all the difference in the world in how you have to play.

Never actually saw a no limit razz game anywhere and would never play it if I did and I try to avoid pot limit too. As soon as you introduce the all in factor, you leave yourself open to "donk" play, it's bad enough in HE, it would destroy drawing games like RAZZ ect.
