    Default Pocket Aces in Omaha

I completely agree that pocket aces aren't worth near as much in omaha as they are in holdem however they can help at times. I mean I do play them but I was to make sure i have some kind of connectors to go with them as a backup. I do also like when I get like A7 hearts and A5 of spades as they are both suited and gives me 2 chances at a possible flush. So in some ways they are good and others not so good all depends upon what you get in the hole and how the board plays out.

From my little experience, Omaha is based on straights, nut flushes, full houses, the big hands. Don't be surprised if your nut flush gets beat. You really have to protect the nuts when you have it, Omaha is a game of redraws.

Like I said, I have little experience, but that's the basics that I have picked up.

Well i think for those who are starting to play this game, id recommend playing hand with aces, and if they are double suited much better.
    Some good starting hands on omaha 8 are: AA2X AA3X AKQ2 A35K A2QQ

I also have to say that most of the times the board paired someone is going to be holding a full house, i just love playing it but i havent found any play money table with some good player on it, and i dont want to risk my money untill i understand it better.

pocket aces are only good when theyre double suited only becuz your chances of winning the hand increase wit hthe extra draws you get......still be weary of the betting pattern when you play these hands as they will end up killing you if your not paying attention

depends on whether you are playing hi/lo or just hi. in hi pocket aces are a little more valuable than they are in lo.

You are spot on. Two pairs, trips, boats, flushes and straights are the name of the game. Even then it is best to have a hand that can improve even if you have the nuts on the flop because alot of people chase......

Pocket aces are better in this game only in ring games but I know there are a lot of draws and bad beats too.
