Limit holdem is about winning small edges. No limit is about winning the big edges.

Thanks mate nice article, and I think this will help me a lot in the Party Poker limit freerolls that I've recently started playing regularly. Phil Gordon's Little Green Book is helping me to become a better No Limit player, too!

Default Limit

I agree, but if you choose your starting hands very carefully, you can almost every times to stand up with winnings..

Limit hold em is a lot like omaha and the way that a big starting hand sometimes must be mucked postflop. A lot of people lose tons of chips on hands they fall in love with on boards that tell you that you're beat, then complain that their opponent is a bad player. This is a game of ultimate skill and patience. It's all about getting the most out of hands when you hit and being prepared to fire 3 or 4 bets preflop to protect your hand. No bluffing, just solid poker instincts.

If you are talking mainly about freerolls I don't see how the donks reraising on every hand in limit are worse than the donks pushing or going all in on almost every hand in no limit. I think the poker you see in the average no limit freeroll is just as bad, probably worse.

i totally agree with you man limit absolutely kills poker i think. Your not allowed to bet enough when your hand it good which in turn allows others to chase cards and get an even better hand. couldnt agree more with you

Get a grip. if you don't like limit dont play it. its just a different game. how can it possibly KILL poker?

i luv horse and razz both limit games. granted you play it differently and donks are just as annoying at limit as no limit but in mtts once the blinds increase it becomes a great game.
