Well if you where short stacked i cant blame ya , you try to make a move with the first decent hand , and you see the pocket aces and think this is the time to shove it in , short stacked i think i would have almost done the same thing , ( preflop raise 4x bb ) if you put that in , and have no more then +4x bb left , its time to go all in right now . so that's not all to bad i guess, Better luck next time !

When playing omaha hi, look for combo hands that will give you multiple options to scoop the pot. Be careful when on draws, make sure they're not easily dominated by better draw, full house or higher.

    Default omaha strategy

In my experiences playing omaha, i find it better to NOT raise preflop early in tournaments. So many donks will call anything, and you have to hit the flop just right, and even if you do, there is usually something that can come and beat you, My motto in omaha, is someone always has the best possible hand, just like in blackjack you have to assume the dealer has a 10 under that ace.

    Thumbs up Threads

We have multiple threads posted for razz, but i dont know if there is a forum with omaha hi low in it, we will post one soon , first i need to play one of these things live before i can make any good forums about it, and i should watch some of these games on full tilt and pokerstars and other sites, so i can get a better view of it.

But then again , i always say play the games you already know, dont go playing a new game your a rookie at . Unless you got experience.

My only advice for omaha is to not put to many of your chips in preflop because if every player has four cards anything can happen

Nice job in your first omaha tourney. Not bad for a beginner, but the aces were overplayed in that spot. In omaha, the board must fit your hand in order to play on. Your inexperience at the game lead you to believe you were ahead. Unlike hold em,in omaha, you will lay down big hands post flop due to different combinations your opponents may have based on the board. In this case, the aces didn't fit and could have been dumped easily. The more you play omaha, the more you'll pick up and understand about postflop play.
When at the tables, play for the love of the game and show respect for your opponents.
