Well of course when you win you are going to be beat sometimes. You just have to know when to fold and call its as simple as 123. I don't like these games myself either

These games are alot of fun it is just a matter of practice. I mean of course you will lose to better hand sometimes. It sounds like your knowledge of these games is just limited right now. Like when people start playing holdem and are suprised when they do not win with a pair. Keeping practicing and you will find it more enjoyable as your skill level increases.

These are games that you learn and understand the more you play them. Unlike no limit, you'll dump more made hands in these games due to the various hands that can beat you based on the board or your opponents upcards. You cannot get too comfortable with sets and boats in omaha if they weak in relation to the board.

omaha is fun. watching your hand change on turn and river. razz, well its almost more like stud but low. I like to mix up a game a bit. horse is a good game to play and try.

The game definitely swings more on the turn and the river in Omaha than holdem. Razz, like stud, is all about representation and what is showing. You have Aces and Kings, but the other guy is showing 4 suited connectors...better fold that good hand! I do well in stud games because it seems so many players think it is holdem and say I have a pair of kings and an ace kicker, and call to the river. Also a lot of new players just do not believe that the guy showing four suited connectors has the fifth suit or connector.

I read somewhere that in Omaha the nuts would be out nearly every time. That's the nut flush and the nut low. If you have less than the nuts, fold. If there's a pair on the board expect a full house or better.

i have a love/hate relationship with these games. i have spent all year sharpening my skills at razz and omaha. i have too. i am one of the most unluckiest drawing people on the face of the earth. so i gotta have it when i bet it. (or i'm throwing it away!)

Both Omaha and Razz are huge drawing games, so luck certainly does not hurt. If the board pairs, you know someone has a boat in Omaha. Just consider it a given that your flush is beat if the board is paired. Not always, but just about every time. Likewise on 3 to a flsuh boards...Someone has 2 in their hand...top pair is worthless as well in Omaha, as with 4 hole cards, someone has two pair or a set.

Razz is similar but you have to pay attention to what is showing and remember that pairs are BAD. Someone showing AA66 has no choice but to use their 3 down cards...they might have 2 3 4 down, but most likely not. trips are worse. trips and any face card means the player can not have a winning hand. Also if you can remember what the up cards were of the players that folded it could help you a lot.

The first times i've played to omaha, somebody explains me that omaha is a game for nuts.. straight and flush are some things which offen occur When you play to omaha a set is like a middle pair in hold'em, a pair means nothing.

You'll often draw on Omaha, and especially on hi-lo, so you have to be agressive It's a good lesson for hold'em I think, but it's not at all a game for noobs
