Its coz its the game that most people play. A lot of people don't know how to play stud etc, and the draw games haven't been played for a long time.
Personally I like this because when I am playing stud it is obv to notice the people who don't know what they are doing and you can sort of target them for their money!!Making The Wrong Moves At The Right Times!!

Stud
yeah, i dont know why stud is not the funnest out there.
if you get good at it, it might be easier to win a bracelet
if there is not as much interest.
me, I prefer omaha hi/lo. i do good in so many of the hi/li turneys
it is not even funny. Because some sports should have more than one winner.

At the online poker sites that I play at, Texas hold 'em NL is the most popular game.
If you enjoy playing PL games, FL games, micro-stakes games, Stud, Omaha, Razz, 2-7 triple draw, 5 card draw and Badugi, then PokerStars is for you.
Full Tilt Poker has a pretty good crowd in Razz, Stud and Omaha.
Both Pokerstars and Full Tilt are USA friendly!

PL Omaha is probly my fave game--hi/lo even, but those games aren't exactly everywhere. If Pokerstars has plenty of those games, well, I don't play on Pokerstars, at least not yet.

7-card stud used to be the most popular game years ago - can remember playing in Vegas for $.05 ante whenever I went there - this was before there were any casinos in Canada. When Hold'em was introduced, one of the reasons was that the game was faster, but I never really liked the game. Now it's the most popular game but I still prefer Stud. When comparing the 2 games on-line, Hold'em seems to be slower than Stud - you see very few players taking 15 seconds to act and the action is fast and furious. Stud is a more interesting game to play - you have to look at every players hands instead of a common board, (which makes Hold'em an easier game to play). Also, with so many all-ins in Hold'em, this brings the element of luck into play on a larger scale.
Sure wish they would bring back the "slow game".
A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.
