In Canada Saturday night W-5 (CBC News) interviewed Bodog,s multi bilionaire owner Calvin Ayre. From Saskathewan pig farmer to Bodog owner. He,s now 48 and been living it up in the Carribean where he can,t be touched by US authorities. He brings girls in from the US to his Island retreat for a week at a time for entertainment. They mentioned another poker site Exec who was immediately arrested as soon as he landed on US soil and was heavily fined and sentenced to 33 months in jail.Ayre,s runs his Gambling site through Costa Rica and S/W testing in Canada. The show also said 60% of all Poker Gambling sites are now running through the Mohawk Akwasakne Reserve near Cornwall Ontario. The Mohawks claim Canada/Quebec nor anyone else can touch them legally.Calvin Ayres said he franchised his Bodog name there and thinks they have found a lophole.
But the story went on to say Ontario wants to get into the Gambling business too.Like they control all Lottery gaming already. They mentioned something about how British Columbia and the East Coast provinces already have some online gaming? Do they ?? It was pretty interesting but I was playing Poker at the time.lol I recorded it though and intend to watch it again more closely. It just sounds to me Canada wants its Tax cut of the 60 Billion a year or so in online gambling.
