Thread: Best Poker Room??

    Default Best Poker Room??

I think it is all in personal preference in most cases. The only way to really break it down in my opinion is support, deposit/withdraw methods, interface, and traffic. You want to choose a room that you can either call support or when writing an email, you receive a quick response. Deposit/withdraw - You want as many options as you can get but primararly ones in your interest. The interface for me is cruicial, I hate looking at a room that looks like a childs play toy. And traffic, so that you can profit from your game consistantly. In my opinion, this room is PokerStars.

    What do you guys think?

Nice post! I agree that PokerStars is the overall best online poker site.

They also have the most diversity in poker games and poker stakes.

Maybe I'll see you over there sometime.

    Good Luck at the tables!

I would have to say even trying to choose a best site, is looking at it the wrong way.

Each site has plenty of flaws, and positives.

I agree completely with your formula, it looks nice.

But if you don't play at variety of sites, you do not truly open up your tournament selections, and the ability to make a big cash. Who knows what site you are gonna do the best on.

I recommend downloading at least 4 sites.

    Pokerstars
    Full Tilt Poker
    Carbon Poker
    Cake Poker

I have not heard of any problems with those sites throughout my forum life...as far as UB & Bodog....they suck anyway...tournament selection is bad, interface is bad, history of the site is bad.

Cake Poker has the best free rolls that is for sure, and a excellent interface.

Pokerstars has fish everywhere (good and bad thing) along with FTP...both interfaces are pretty kindergarten to me.

Carbon poker has the best player usage. The short cuts, seem to bring laughs. I play at reefer poker (skin of carbon) due to my bankroll there. I really like the low level bounties that only carbon network offers.

I think it is all about opening up your odds. To best do that, having the tier 1 sites downloaded is the key. Then just play good poker, and wait for your day.

I have never deposited, now sitting around $1250 across my sites.

Many people remember me in the forum not to long ago posting $5 wins...or $1 Double or nothings....just shows how opening up your odds, and bankroll strategy pays off.

Time is only a function of probability.

im kind of a "graphics freak" so my number one is PKR.com, i simply cannot play ex. at PokerStars becouse when i see this awfull layout its just pushing me back from my PC.

competiton level is good, decent amount of good tournaments, i dont need anything more

its quite strange that biggest poker rooms (read, rooms making most of money) cannot afford to make better room design...

    Post Poker Room Favorite

When I first started playing online, I started out where a lot of people do, PokerStars and Full Tilt. At the time, those were the two most widely advertised rooms for online play. I didn't plan on depositing, so I started playing the freerolls. The PokerStars freerolls were too huge and boring for me and I got sick of those and playing with play chips. Full Tilt freerolls were smaller and I managed to win a few cents a few times. Soon, I got sick of that too and quit playing online poker for awhile.

About a year or so later, I was online and felt like playing, but didn't want to play at either of the two bigger sites. That's when I found Poker (.com). Soon after Carbon was introduced and I switched over to that and it has now become my favorite room.

When I first started playing there, there was a $50 freeroll every 2 hours and I soon managed to start placing in those regularly. Carbon also has the Fun Step SnG tables. If you can beat just 3 tables, you get a dollar. Playing these two types of freerolls at Carbon, I eventually built up my first real bankroll. When I hit $25 I started playing the small buy-ins, low-limit cash tables and low level SnG's.

Like TomtheBomb, I've never had to deposit to play and win money at Carbon. I do have luck at other sites, but it usually comes from playing in the smaller private tournies.

Default For me Gameplay is important

PKR makes you feel like you are actually sitting with other players & to me that makes PKR my number one site.

I find PKR too distracting with all the moving parts. Plus i have problems seeing player stacks and the blinds. I haven,t played there that often though. I would like to turn off the graphics.
