S&G fees

think 0,40$ is a to big fee for participating in a 2$ S&G tournament.


The poker Rooms do not seem to compete regarding the sizes of the fees. Do you know a Poker Room that charges a small fee compared to the example above?

jetset charges .25 on thier 2.50 tourneys jetset go

888.com charges 2.50+0.50 on their 5 seater STTs, which is outrageous. It means that not only do you have to beat the game, but you have to fight to beat the rake too!

Everywhere else I've been charges roughly the same though. PokerStars is normally quite good at around 10%. Paradise charges a flat 9%, which drops to 7-8% on larger buy ins.

I think that 10% is around standard at most poker sites for rake / entry on SNG's

the iPoker Network sites like Titan, Noble etc have a 20% rake on their $5 SnG's but then you have a chance of winning big money if you can win 5 in a row you get $1000's in jackpot

I think most poker sites overestimate SnGs and they put too high taxes. 0.40 is 20 % fee which is too much. This is too much. I used to play some $6+1 and $10+1 sit and goes at AP where I was doing really well. $1 for $6 buy-in is not a small fee. This is roughly 16 % fee.
