    Default When everyone is limping....

When playing ten person tables and any where from 4 to 6 are limping and the blinds are behind you, do you play more or less hands? And when you are getting in should you be raising? And if so, how much? I mean pot grows fast and every caller gives better and better pot odds and implied odds.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    well, tuff Q that.

u say "pot grows fast and every caller gives better and better pot odds and implied odds." WELL, THATS TRUE, IF you are holding certain hands in a good position with a good stack.

But most cases, you are not. if I see a table full of limpers, then its aggressive play time baby. Look, ...limping is bad play. like duh period.ok, I didn't mean that, there are times to limp. but that is higher/know ur opponent/trap theory. Generally speaking tho, limping is "bad play" period. well, sort of, lol.

U take a table and 4 to 6 limp to u, and pot odds say if it costs you 10 to bet (or call) and there is 100 in the pot, then you'd be able to be wrong 9 times out of 10 and still break even. This is the essence of pot odds: You're paying a fraction to win a larger sum. If you're more likely to win than you have to pay, then your bet/call is a winning move in the long run.

Implied odds is Where pot odds take into consideration the money that's in the pot right now, implied odds is an estimation on how much money you CAN win from the bet if you hit one of your outs. For instance, with 100 in the pot, and a bet of 20, is your gain really only 100 if you win? Can you really not squeeze out an extra few bucks from your opponent if you hit your flush? You probably can - and so as the pot will get bigger, your implied odds go up. The downside to implied odds is, it's an estimation that most folks give wayyyyy to much credence to.

Its all situantional. But generally, a table that has a lot of limpers, needs a good raise(bitch slap) on a consistent basis, and then its milking time.

    Hell, I don't know, I'm drunk.

If you have good hands raise, to get rid of some of limpers and if you have suited connectors join in with cheap limp ins but dont get carried away if you hit top pair etc as so many people in the pot you should be looking to hit two pair flushes or straights
