Private Tournaments
hi all
given the poor turnout (but thanks for those who did) for the freeroll at pokerheaven I am going to only run tournaments at our key sites where forum members already play in reasonable numbers -
from experience this means the costs of the tournaments are unlikely to be recovered (by generating enough new depositing signups) but I appreciate that this isnt really of interest to exising players / forums members - you just want tournies that run where you play already.
despite 40+ play money (and some real money) signups to pokerheaven through us
endless references on the site and in the fourms
updates via PM etc earlier in the week
and a last minute one sent at opening of registration
and emails direct to eligable players from the poker site
we still only got 6 registrations for the last freeroll
Sorry to those of you who felt the last PM arrived late but I nearly didnt send one as so much had gone out already and I don't want to bombard all players with excessive PM's when all the players (our signups) who were eligable to play had been sent information on the tournament earlier direct from the poker site
I will be re-assessing the tournaments and where and if they are scheduled - this will at least mean that forum members have an easy opportunity for free cash / buy-ins with low competition and I will run them for as long as I can afford to keep funding them at a loss..
