Can't believe how often I'm getting 2's and 3's-check out these stats...

I've played several sit and go tournaments and over the last two days, my cards consist of either a 2 or a 3 28.8% of the time!

I'm currently playing a tournament and have had a 2 or a 3 for 20 out of 71 hands.

Please tell me if my calculations are wrong, but there are only four 2's and four 3's in a deck of 52. 8 divided by 52 equals .15.

So, am I correct in thinking that there's a 15% chance I'll have either a 2 or a 3 in my hand?

Am I totally off on this? I really appreciate any insight you may have.

anything in life will throw u odd stuff. for statistics to become meaningful, you got to have a huge sample size. try a minimum of 10,000 hands and u will start to see the patterns u expect, go ahead and get 50,000 hands for the math to catch up.

Theres my Stats at Fulltilt for the last 19893 Hands.

got 22 -> 98 Times or 0.49%
got 33 -> 65 Times or 0.33%

most Hands: J6o -> 205 Times
less Hands: 62s -> 39 Tmes


btw:
got AA -> 89 Times and the winnig percentage is 93,1%

math gives me a headache. so I will leave it to a whiz to answer this

but I still bet that over a larger sample size, seeing a 2 or 3 , in combination with any other card will even out and be statistically insignificant.

but on the other hand, yeah, I've had days where that happens a lot. I call them the X rag 2 days, lol

Yea, you need a big sample of hands to see that everything is normal and that luck is only a small factor. But with him asking himself this question, I don't see him at 50k hands very soon
