    Post Touchscreen Poker Table

    Hey gang,

Some days ago i was wondering about creating a Touchscreen poker table and i found this:

My own idea wasn't the same but it looks really cool. I wonder if casinos already bought this and where and if you ever tried it yet, i'd really appreciate some inputs. It seems like it's only able to run Hold'em yet but i wonder which soft it used to randomize the cards?
Anyway sounds like future of casino poker games. Some dealers will have to find new job i believe.

PS: Stixy, i think now you can stop wondering which table to create.

A local casino have one of this, runs only like a Holdem Ring game, your cards are face down and you put your hands up the cards in the screen to can see it, take the hands and cards go face down again (like in a live game).

Software is like a fishy Pokerstars software, where every player get his one out card, do not have a dealer but still need one person to be there to give your money and that he/she program your sit to have the number of chips you want, min to get in is $60, do not ask for the max.

Live poker in here is illegal, but online is "not illegal", so with this screen tables i guess they take it like video poker/online, so we can play live with this.

It was fun, last time i play there win like $300.

We have a Pokerclub here that uses only touch screen tables. I don't go there very often because of several reasons...
bad players, big rake, and the soft is set to create A LOT of action. I remember my first hand there... AA got crushed by K10 lost ~40$

A fishy PokerStars software... Seems not good for me then.

    Thank's for the feedback guys.

My own view to create one was to have the whole table as a Touchscreen and not several screens. I know it would cost a lot to create it, but do you think that would be a good investment? If creating a table and the team to develop the software to run other games than Hold'em and i feel like i can retire in few years.

Hoje I hope you understand that legally you won't be able to do that. No one will give you authorisation to run such a thing. you can build your table but you won't legally be permitted to run money games.

Here's a loose connection but a buddy of mine's friend's dad created the hard/software that was picked up by one of the Vegas casinos. I'll give him a call and see if I can get some more info, but needless to say his friends dad is already making a healthy living with it. He played on the table and said he liked it, but I want no part of it myself. I get it... you see more hands per hour blah blah blah. Give me my cards and felt. Just aint the same.

Maybe I'll hook up somethin stupid on my table... but not fake cards. hahaha

Default the future looks - dealer less

    hi

I guess he future looks dealer less - sort of

BTW you want to look up for an expo near where you are like ICE in London (Vegas will have several I should think) - there you will find the latest in slot machine tech and automated roulettem, poker tables and blackjack now I think too

is this the future ? I dont know

I know that the casinos would absolutely love to have auto machines - think about it they would be like slots without the overhead of dealt tables

this is why there are more and more auto roulette tables - wierd assed things with a glass dome over a central wheel and then screens similar to your poker table

they work IMHO because although alot of gamblers would much prefer a croupier they want to gamble gamble gamble

however with poker I'm not so sure it will catch on ... poker room is generally either separate or off to one side of the rest of the casino and players looking for a different experience

interaction with players - how are you going to get tells ?

personally I like playing online and I like playing live when I get time to ... but they are separate and different ... if live at small casinos went over to machines - I would stay at home I would rather play online and watch TV / drink coffee at my own pace than play on a machine in a casino

I think player v dealer games will become automated - but hopefully player v players wont

    cheers scrawnybob

I do understand it well Mo, as this is not my purpose.

I just want to create a table with the soft to run it and then sell tables to casinos as does the creator of the above machine, but with some differences. Don't know if this could be done and at what price and that's why i'm asking for feedbacks on existing ones. Hope that make sense.

I agree with SB statement. Playing live with a dealer to run the table is the best way to play poker, but i know casinos would find many positive sides to a touchscreen table. Mostly because you won't have to pay the dealers and cause you can shuffle and deal much more hands per hour.

Thank's Stixy for the infos. It seems like you have some interesting friends. I will wait to see if you got more infos to give us soon.

    Thank's everyone.

i knew one of these tables would be made.. but i thought by at least 2012. technology is moving so fast.. but in my city if they make this table for every table and game type so many people would lose jobs and thats the side effects of this table though.
