Collusion

3 weeks ago I spotted these players that I thought were playing strange. I googled their locations and saw a they were all from Spain. This is the response from Pokerstars.

Hello Motan,

First allow me to apologize for the delay in responding to your report. This
particular case was quite involved and more time than usual was required for
the review.

We have concluded that the play of carclock, rubens21cf and alpa153 violated
the integrity of our games. It is not uncommon to find that players are not
aware of the seriousness of such action in cash game play. The overall
review, which included requests for explanations from the players and
consideration of all account information, led us to conclude that their
action was not malicious. Therefore they will be allowed to continue
playing on the site. That said, we did take action to see that they do not
play at the same cash game table in the future, or in the same Sit & Go
Tournaments for that matter.

In addition, we have 'rolled back' hands in which they won money unfairly
and redistributed the funds to the players who were cheated. Overall, you
won $3.91 from these players so you were not financially disadvantaged by
playing at the same table as them, so a credit to your account is not
appropriate in this instance.

The integrity of the games at PokerStars is of paramount importance to us
and we will not abide unfair play in our games. We work hard to police our
games to assure our players of a fair, secure place to play. In the rare
cases where collusion has actually occurred, we make sure that any players
affected are compensated appropriately. Your vigilance in noticing the
situation and reporting your concerns are very much appreciated, please do
not hesitate to report any future suspicious instances to us.

That is very cool. I have never gotten any response like that after reporting suspicious behavior. A+ for spotting it and A+ to P-Stars for handin it.

Good job mo, again! This is not the first time you have reported suspicious behavior. It is appreciated and helps make online poker safer for all of us.

Most players just leave a table if they are wary of the play, but that doesn't help stop it. Glad to see that PS takes it seriously. Not sure every site would.

This was the point of it that stuck out like a saw thumb to me "hey you profited so thats not a problem" maybe if you lost $3.92 you were entilted to a refund of $15 which you lost to them in your overall time at the table. Personally i think all of the cheaters profit should be shared amongst the players who were at the table along with the house rake.

Although it must be damn tough to spot colluding and i have had refunds sent to me from pokerstars in the past when i have not even spotted any problems at the table myself

Good point. That intrigued me a little. If I didn't lose to them overall it doesn't mean I wasn't cheated or that I couldn't have won more. Maybe I should have stayed at the table a little longer?! Anyway, that wasn't the reason for which I reported them. I just can't stand these things happening at my table.

Very nice Job Mo.If only more players were as astute as you and took the time to report cheaters.If anyone suspects collusion I suggest they contact SUPPORT immediately and just ask them to watch the table you are playing at.They obviously can see all the cards and will see the obvious soft play.
