I do not believe in tapping the tank. It scares the fish.

I figure I will make more money off bad players than good ones. So, why would I want to help a bad player improve?
    Really?

I have no problem helping poor players improve to a certain extent so they'll stay around longer.

As for doing things like telling people they played a hand well when they actually didn't, I'm not into that. So according to my sense of ethics, I guess I'd have to say it's not ethical. However, I can see where other people can have other opinions.

I think that helping a bad player get better would be like lending a player in a game more money so they can stay in and then have them take all your money. It's just not a good practice to get into. Let them learn on their own...

1st of all I piss the reg off which I like to do and the fish can feel comfortable getting the money in against me next time

Boost their egos hurt their feelings and at times question their sexuality anything is ethical to me when there is money on the line.
I played with a guy today that must of read your post. I made a horrible call, totally misread my hand playing Omaha, thought I hit my straight on the river. I call the all in and it turned out that my pair of 9’s with a J kicker beat his pair of nines with a 10 kicker. I think he was upset (a reg too). I am now officially a ghey homo fish loser that never wins a hand although I did point out that I had won one hand today just before he had to leave.
Personally I think he would have been much better off stroking my ego

I have to leave now as I wish to strip and roll around in his $14

Bad players in what sense like, one have to see that whether they are week or they are bitchy, for those who are weak but wants to improve themselves should get a chance to play and those who are back bitters and bitchy should be avoided and and yes in this case it is not ethical by giving chance to these players.

    Thanks

Hey, feel free to use the chat button. In real life we would be able to use a conversation to lull them into a trap.
I see some people online use swearing or taunting to get people to tilt and go in hands they would not normally go in on. Whatever it takes to build an advantage.
I have been to games like you mention and there are people who do not mind giving their chips away as long as they had a fun time playing. The positive stroking removes their chips from them in a least painful method.

    Default nh..... (bozo)

it is always better to be nice instead of nasty. when i lose to hands like q2 or j3 -- i will always say nh. when you complement a behavior it is likely to be repeated. if you over complement the behavior you will arouse suspicion and doubt .

For obvious reasons i don't consider myself a good player, but at the same time i don't feel like i'm bad either, but in anycase if someone was trying to stroke my ego or if they are ready to have a stroke behind something i have done or a way i may have played a hand, it really will not effect in any way the way i would play the rest of my hands. So i don't think it matters one way or the other unless you get a very thin skinned newb that can't handle the criticism or one with an already inflated self worth then i say skies the limit boys, after all we are all grown right??
