Default Online Gambling Bill - US Poker Ban ??

hi all

4kingpoker will try to keep members and visitor up to date with developments with the Online Gambling Bill which has been passed by piggy-backing the port security bill

We have together with other poker forums put out a joint press release about the bill

Please read it here - Poker Ban

Please social bookmark the above link anywhere you can - furl, digg, delicious etc

It is important to note that Neteller has NOT changed its operations and IS still accepting Online Poker Business and has no plans to change - It is expected the legislation will take 9 months to get implimented

cheers scrawnybob

Default rakeback and the US ban

Does anyone have information about how the US ban affects poker rakeback? I have used xxx for quite some time and thay say that they will continue paying rakeback to US based players. But can i be sure? If it is illegal to transfer money from poker sites, this should also be the issue in the rakeback section.

By the way.... I need this money ...

/Jenny

Default rakeback

hi Jenny

I think at worst rackback would be affected only in the same way that transfers via banks would be in the US
so its only about the banking method you use

ie. if you use neteller for transfers to poker account then use same for rackback

depends how you have this set up - I don't do rackback so I would talk to whoever it is that your setup with

Hi scrawnybob

Why don't you play with rakeback? That is like free money ... at least if you play poker Just sign up to a poker room through an affiliate and they will sort everything out for you. If you pay rake, you will get some of it back. Unless you play to make the poker rooms wealthier.

I will carry on with xxx ... I mean 60% rakeback is awesome!

Default rackback

hi jenny

I am an affiliate - I run 4kingpoker ...

I meant I don't do rakeback promotions here from an affiliate POV -

but affiliating is how 4kingpoker tries to make money BTW to cover the costs of setting up the site - through people signing up & depositing at sites through us

That's why I also don't tend to like promoting the competition too much - or have plugs / links to other sites etc

rackback is ok if you play alot but for the alot of the low stakes players they actually work out better on the bonuses & reload bonuses etc - rakeback sites will tell you otherwise of course - but it doesnt suit all players

Personally I don't bother with rakeback on my own accounts because I don't have much time left to play anymore

4kingpoker takes alot more time than I expected and its got alot tougher to make money in the business - everyone is chasing the same people with the latest offers etc

cheers scrawnybob

Hi scrawnybob

You are probably right. Clearing bonuses are better for players at the absolute lowest limits. A problem though, is that you constantly have to change poker rooms unless the poker room offers reload bonuses all the time.

If you play, let’s say $3/$6 limit Holdem you are probably better off with a good rakeback deal. And if the poker room doesn't deduct the bonus from the Net Rake you can benefit from both the bonus and the rakeback at the same time.

... and you are right ... it is hard to find the best deal when everyone is chasing the same people. All offers are: Best in the industry

Thanks for your thoughts on this subject

sincerely

/Jenny

Default Ban on US Players

I think the sites that are closing down to U.S. players are over-reacting and just have to look at other ways to get deposits by players. I have money in a number of sites that I'll probably never see again.

Default never see money again ?

hi justa

I think whilst the US bill isn't the best piece of news ever it's far from the end of the world

and certainly don't think you will have lost your money !!??@@

as far as I know all the sites we are involved with that have stopped taking US players / closed accounts they have made sure all players have been paid out & either notified before closure and sent info on how / when to cash out by etc

Have you actually found sites that you had money in and not been able to withdraw it ?

Would be useful to know if so ... as although I know of a couple of site's we didnt / don't promote folding and not giving player money but if you have some specific experiences that would be great

cheers scrawnybob
