Advice on poker tracker please

Hi all,
Just read through King Montan's Thread and see his poker tracker graph........Can u get hold of this for free?? or anything else similiar as i have never taken any notice of these but really could do with it.

Would of come in handy that time i played 15,132 hands in a 13 hour poker session


PS.Congrats king for what is a truly ridiculous amount of poker to play


Any advice will be appreciated.

Legally I don't think you can get Poker Tracker for free. You do get a trial with it I think it's 30 days before you have to pay for it.

I have mixed feelings with Poker Tracker, I bought it about a year ago and used it for a while with the HUD running. But I find it clutters the screen up and runs slowly and sometime crashes the game. So I use it now after the game as a reviewing tool rather than in real time.

I see they do a Micro Stakes version for $44 now, to be honest even as a reviewing tool that's worth the money.

Go Here and download beta 30.7. You have a 60 days trial BUT they usually release a new beta every 10-15 days, so all you have to do is go to the site and download the new version, that will extend ur trial with another 30 days.

I tried it out for a few days (really like it btw) but found it causing my games to really lag a bunch. Is this normal or is there something I needed to do differently with it (prob difficult to answer if you don't know what I was doing in the first place, lol).
I would've for sure kept using it if it hadn't been for the lag problem (computer I was using it on is new, 4GB Ram, decent processor, etc.).

Never knew about the potential for re-newing the free trial via using further beta version. Sounds cool. I think I should (need to) give this (PT3) another go. My trial still wouldn't be over as it was only a few weeks ago that I had downloaded it.

KingMo... any suggestions for set up with it? (I followed all the info. they provide you with on there, so I don't think I did anything incorrrectly??). Sucks to not be using it even though I primarily play SNG/MTT, I see the same players quite regularly and know it'd be beneficial (also am very familiar with the diff. stats. and how to read them, how to set up HUD to suit me, how to decipher villain's tendancies based on their stats., even if it's just the basic ones of VP$IP, PFR & Agg (along with CC&, 3bet%, foldtosteal in BB/SB, etc.). Maybe I should get onto this today? (or tomorrow? lol)

PS..... kinda surprised that 'PLAYFUL1' hasn't posted on this thread yet? Guessing it's only a question of time. I'm interested to hear their views/perspective on this,... might be some +EV theorys I'm yet unaware of & God knows I need all the help I can get!

I mostly play cash so I attached my hud for that. I also recommend you to use color ranges for Vpip and pr. Helps a lot when multi-tabling and don't have much time to read. So when the red strikes me, I fold .
I now started playing some 45men turbo but I don't put too much taught into the hud, I'm more concentrated on equity and when do I shove lol. So the tournament hud has only vpip, pr, att to steal.

Just downloaded it, thanks for the link. I can't wait to try it. If I knew I could try it for free, I would of done it a long time ago.

As for setup, do not rate yourself that slows every thing down. Consider turning off real time rating that slows things down. If you do not need the HUD that is another way to speed it up. Until you have enough hand history, HUD is not a huge benefit in tournament poker, in ring games you can build HH on opponents pretty fast.
