Tonight i played in the "this show bites " games at Felt poker both the free roll and the buy-in and i am glad because i saw myself using some of the things i have been learning since i started and they were helping me out and i was doing fairly well, especially at the free roll but then i did a really stupid move and as i was doing it i felt that it was a bad thing to do and all the things i have learned from everyone who has helped me out , was screaming don't do it in my head but like a dumb ass newb i saw huge chip stacks in my eyes and went for it and LOST!!!!!! I so deserved it for making such a stupid mistake but i take away a sense of happiness after the fact because i am really starting to see the tiny things that are going on and the things i should be more aggressive at and the things i should back up with, now if i can only start to use them on a regular basis and not throw the game away because of an idiot move i will be great

WTG. Good to hear but you will learn more playing in the smaller 4king League games with 30-40 players.That free roll has about 300 people in it doesn,t it?? You really won,t learn much playing that free roll except watching the bad play of others.And really there not all bad players but they just play incredibly Loose in the free roll.

Good to see that you saw the mistake in your game and look forward to correcting it. Continue to study and only use strategies that you are comfortable with and understand. At the rate you are going, your mistakes will soon be minimal and winnings will be heading your way!

Thanks guys, and yes rg i try to play in the 4k games whenever i can, unfortunatly i missed todays Bodog game because i wasted all of my roll at Bodog on sports betting after i had tripled it playing poker actually, who would have thunk that i made it in poker, my new game and lost it all in my old game the sports bet...yech

The problem with that for me t is that i am first and foremost a gambler by nature and not a card player, i been betting the ponies since i was 6 years old, i would go every weekend with my grandparents to Santa Anita or Hollywood Park, whichever one was running at the time then we would go back home to Orange County to hit the late night races at Los Alamitos and from there it progressed to casinos and sports betting and that is still to this day my favorite past time and even more so when football season rolls around, i play poker mostly to unwind after work and now that i have gotten a little better i am starting to enjoy the game much more then before, but i could never have funds at a sports book/ poker room and not bet the games ,lol
