mmmmm….. Kentucky
Now there’s a good ole redneck state and rednecks are something I know a little about. I offer up this scenario.
This "fight" has been going on for 2 years, that means somebody is profiting from the battle and that would of course be the legal team. The first thing I would do is look at the bonds between Governor Beshear and the legal team seeing as the Kentucky taxpayers have paid for their services for 2 years with absolutely nothing to show for it.
Approximately 13000 players in Kentucky and the only way that Beshear is going to recoup their losses would be by proving online Poker is illegal. If he does prove it’s illegal do the players get their money back? Pleeeeze, we both know that ain’t happening.
So, he wants ALL the money lost by losing players and then he wants all the money won because he’s proven it to be illegal.
Don’t worry about it too much, he won’t win that fight but his buddies on the legal team will be getting paid off until he’s out of office.
Maybe the Kentucky taxpayers should sue the jacka$$ of a governer for wasting their money.
Greedy barsteward, wants to have his cake, the cake of 13000 players, Cake Poker and eat it too!!!!!!!The list of "dot com" domain name include ones associated with Full Tilt Poker, Doyles Room, PokerStars, BodogLife, Ultimate Bet, Absolute Poker and Cake Poker, as well as many online sports books and casinos.
Democrat Beshear, who ironically is trying to convince state politicians to permit casino gambling in Kentucky, is going after the online gambling sites because he says they’re undermining the state’s horse racing industry, allows minors easy access to the sites, and takes away taxes and licensing compensation that would normally go to the state.
Through a press release announcing this maneuver, Beshear said that Kentucky loses "tens of millions of dollars" a year to unregulated and unlicensed online gambling. He also said the unregulated industry is a threat to national security.
"Who's next?"
OMG says Playful..... Yah if Playful would have already moved if Playful live in Kentucky... Butt now Playful has heard that Massescheuttians are havein the same problem as Kentucky...?![]()

hi
I think the Kentucky thing is old news that webnews are just catching up on - think there was a recent ruling against Kentucky being able to sieze online poker domains and trying to sue sites might be just another last ditch attempt to win something
Massachusetts is a bit more concerning in so far as that state seems to be trying to make playing online somesort of state crime and this is solely because they want to build 2 state owned / run casinos where they will collect soemthing like 30% tax ...
as I commented in my blog several months ago ... the whole ban online poker agenda could / will be subverted by the B&M casinos to either legalise it so they can get in on the action (probably with alot of bias in favour of existing US landbased casinos) OR ban it state by state so the states like Massachusetts can have a closed landbased market for gambling without online gaming

The Commonwealth of Kentucky filed suit against Full Tilt Poker's owners Pocket Kings in the Franklin Circuit Court, asking that the site refund the state “the amount of money lost between March 25, 2005 and September 25, 2009 by persons located within the borders of Kentucky.” The complaint charges that Full Tilt conducted "tortuous acts" inside state lines for which it has a "substantial and compelling interest in exercising personal jurisdiction.”
This is more gimme a break stuff from that idiot governor.
I really wish these morons could explain why in a country where lotteries, bingo, and otb is legal and gambling is legal in many states, why they want something illegal because it's on the internet.
Let's see them sue all the land-based casinos for money Kentucky residents lost there!!!!
TORTUOUS ACTS - Would be lmao funny if not so pathetic and hypocritical.
NOTE: an idiot is a stupid person with a mental age below three years, while a moron is a stupid person with a mental age of between seven to twelve years
