Online Poker Tracking Databases

Hi-jacked part of Bob's post in order to start a new thread to discuss the online stats databases.

not sure it seems relevant in this case but PTR stats started a couple of years ago - I know for example mine arent complete - and hilariously my non recorded pre PTR stats on FTP would have been profitable and my subsequent record stats are minus looser total cr*p x10 stats

I know a lot of people use these databases and I can see where they would be helpful, but I know that sharkscope is not reliable at all.

My stats on sharkscope were totally wrong for all sites except Bodog-which happened to be right on the money. However, I recently w/d most of my $ there and now Sharkscope shows games played 1, total profit $2, etc.

It seems that once I withdrew all the stats were set to zero. That's just nuts, but it could explain why the stats are so wrong for other sites.

Anyone else had this happen?

no, but I do not use them. Of course I have looked myself up, and they have it all wrong. For one thing, I play a lot of different forum games. those are never tracked.

HAVE TO AGREE WITH PETEY... ALOT OF PLAYFUL'S GAMES, SNGS ,TOURNEYS AND WHAT HAVE YOU ARE CERTAINLY KNOT BEING TRACKED PROPERLY..SHARKSCOPE IS WAY OFF...WELL TELL YOU WHAT IT PLAYS RITE INTO PLAYFUL'S ADVANTAGE..WHEN THE PLAYERS LOOK ME UP WITH THE WONG STATS, PLAYFUL USUALLY ELIMATES THEM 1ST IN ANY GAME..

Personally I think that Sharkscope is very accurate (for SNG's). However, they didn't track MTTs until fairly recently & not all games are tracked.

Other sites are very accurate, aside from not tracking most of the priv. mtts (although some are tracked on some of the sites). By far the best imo is TopShark (although they do miss some tournaments on occassion but much more accurate recently).
As far as PTR goes (the site SB was making reference to), I'm not sure what's up with their tracking methods... as I've seen some large discrepancies. They have added a cool new hand replayer though, lol (great seeing how one of my neighbours plays their hands..... helpful for the weekly cash games here, lol)

That's what I was wondering, looked myself up on doyle's, never dep a dime, have some money from forum games, and it has me as a neg profit, which is impossible since I've never deposited.

From what I understand, private games are not included in the stats.
