It's a different game,... there are things I like about each.
One of the things I don't particularly care for in live games is that it is soooooo slow at times. Also the live play in my area is genearlly really bad (great for the cash games but the tourneys are a bit of a drag). So bad in fact that you'll actually get some players who'll stand up, pick their cards up, look at the board while counting on their fingers, look back at their cards (in their hand while standing up), match them again with the board.... then they're calling if they've got any piece (btm pr., a gutshot draw, whatever). THis is a $75 buyin, lol.
LOTS of great points I like about live play... and just as many or more that I like about online play. If it were a choice between the two which would I pick? Well.... 'it depends', lol. Many times I've found myself picking online when I've had a bunch of tourneys lined up to play in while there was a live tournament starting up a few blocks from my home.
