Default Talk about a costly mistake

So I am playing one full ring $1/$2 NL. I bought in for $200 and been pretty much hanging around up to around $250 or so. I get pocket TT. I raise pre-flop to $7 and get one caller.

    FLOP 2, 6, 7 rainbow.

I bet half the pot, and get called.

    Turn 8.

I got to be $20, but instead type $200. Before I can catch myself, I hit enter and there is my $200 bet sitting there. *sigh*

I get called and opponent flips up 88.

Talk about depressed and frustrated at the same time.

My only hope is everyone at the table put a note that I am a moron and have no idea what happened.

River was a Q so not sure how it would have played out had I bet the $20. A re-raise and I likely call. May have lost it the money either way.

    Oh... that really sucks badly!!!

I've never had that happen to me on a cash table... but have had it happen in Tournaments (fortunately I didn't get called though).

The guy with 88 must've been doing backflips when he saw the massive overbet.

I did that in a freeroll while playing a game on Facebook. I had crap, but some how won the huge pot. I try not to type in amounts in a ring game because of that problem. X

Wow that sucks ....my big error made was when i was in a $100 buy in game through a coupon i had won in merge.....when it came to hourly rebuy...i thought i was hitting the "play now" button not the 'rebuy"... unfortunately i had enough money for it to take out the $100 + 10 rebuy out of my account leaving me like $5....... i was low stacked and never never would have rebought at that point for that amount. Only consolation was i won another coupon ($100) for the same game.......i would rather have had my $110 back *

All I can say is OUCH.

I've never had anything like that happen me yet and hope it never does.

I've seen my mate go all in when trying to make a standard steal with a junk hand.

Funny stuff but it was only a small stakes game so not too bad.

Harsh one on the rebuy Loonzy

I have had this happen in tournaments when I,m playing Multi sites. PokerStars is really bad for grabbing your screen back when its your turn to act. And some sites have the action buttons in the same spots. So I,m about to call at one site when the screen flips to another game at exactly the same time and I end up calling a huge bet with Crap.
If i was in a Cash game I wouldn,t be multi siting though. Don,t you the slide bar to enter your bet amount ? I would feel so bad with those mistakes that are easy to make that I would be kicking myself for days.

Yah this sucks for sure. You can actually disable the Pokerstars tables from doing that & instead they'll just flash in the 'taskbar'. I personally prefer this even while multi-tabling 6 or more MTTs at a time. Another thing on Stars (somewhat similiar) that pizzes me off is when the table pops up is -> if you're taking a note on another table then it interrupts you and your note ends up in the chatbox on the now active table (this makes for alot of extra mouse clicks back & forth & is a pain in the azz).
Ok.. one last feature that bugs me w Pokerstars but is also easily disabled. The single-click or double-click when you want to act on a table. I hate the default 'double-click' feature... you can end up sitting there clicking away like crazy... enough to drvie me crazy (er).
