If you don't have history on players OR PT3 or HEM then it's going to be difficult to have many player reads... but in the micro turbos you won't need many anyways (just knowing who the regs. are will be enough).
I use 'TournamentShark' so I'm knowing # of games played & whether or not they're a winning player. Typically if they're a winning reg. they're playing a TAG type game.. if they're losing regularly.. could be a # of reasons but most likely in micro stakes sng's its because they're the way over aggro Potbetting spewy type donks (the guys who are donkbetting (leading out from out of pos., ie. in SB or BB).. for POT bets on flops when they've hit MidPr.).... OR they're loose calling stations..> limping in tons, spewing off chips & not considering preserving their stack size so they'll have fold equity or to just do so so that when they do hit a big hand they can maz the payoff on it (calling w/o odds, flatting large % of their stacks preflop in spots where they should be shoving or folding).. OR they're weak/tight/pass... playing fit or fold poker.. and when they've got big.. they're betting big... if not.. check/fold.
I guess what I'm saying is... it doesn't take alot to play these games... but obv. picking up some reads will be beneficial. As far as the optimal number to play where you're maximizing an hourly rate (in other words.. how many table can you play at before your ROI drops considerably to where it's no longer profitable to be playing more tables.. but instead play less tables & win more often). Answer.. i don't know, lol.. 'it depends'... it depends on how solid your shove/fold late play game is. If you've got a good understanding of ICM & have a decent shove/fold game (bubble play).. then keep adding until it doesn't feel comfortable.
