Ironic isn't? That they never actually touch or handle the money, nor does a human actually ever see it go through the middle yet you get hit with a fee for it. Technology makes things, they never said anything aboot cheaper.

I set up a Moneybookers account in US funds last year with no problems. I preloaded a credit card with enough funds to make the initial deposit in order to save credit card interest charges (which would be applied because this type of transaction is the same as a cash advance, not a purchase). I had funds in a few sites that i wanted to close out, so I made a deposit to these sites via Moneybookers and then was able to withdraw all the funds to my Moneybookers account without any questions. I haven't withdrawn any funds from my account as yet (but plan to). The method I have chosen is to set up an account in US funds so that, as far as I know, there would be minimum charges for the transfer. For those who encountered charges in CAD from the bank, is it because you are transferring funds into a CAD account instead of a US account.

So far, I have had no problems using Moneybookers and the fund transfers have been processed quickly. I would recommend this method over credit cards or check cashing (eg. only Moneybookers requires your credit card number, not every site that you deal with).

PS: Note that some banks will not allow these types of transactions because of the gambling element - the Royal Bank would not but at the time, the CIBC would (I hope they still do)

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

Do you have a US account or a CDN account at CIBC?

Carbon - when I w/d from carbon by check, I had never deposited, but I did have to verify the account. If there were any fpp requirements, I wasn't aware of them.

To verifiy: go to player admin, security, account verification. (Took me a while to find this on the new web site).

I recently lost my transfer privileges because they changed the rules. Use to be a verified account could transfer, now you need to deposit and verify.
