Full tilt to ban data mining and software like sharkscope

in my mind this has been in the works too long. If all you ballers out there think you are as good as you are then man up and play for real. If it takes a machine to tell you stats and how people play, I feel bad for you. Pokerstars just released a staement that they will perma ban anyone using these sites. This includes PTR. Now that the playing field is being leveled good players will come out of nowhere. No more of tgis datamine 1mil hands and ust someone up. new era in poker and to those using the software that think they are the shit, wait, shit floats and you will find that out soon when your HUD can't tell you what to do anymore. I'm just glad the major sites are backing all this and finally seeing through the bs. First step in llegalization. Peace out AADoub

Amen to this idea, it has been a long time coming, the only thing i don't like about FTP and how they are shutting down accounts just for someone having read the forum material from one of these sites like PTR or Sharkscope i think, anyways they never used the things only checked out the forum and still was banned from FTP, shame

In further breaking news today, a well known online poker provider has announced that they will ban any player found reading books or online forums if it gives them an advantage over the "useless fish". A spokesman said "we can't afford for this type of player to lose all there money because they contribute rake in 50% to 100% of any hands played at the table. Further to the book banning we have also changed our software to make sure that every other hand they are in they win regardless of what cards they have."

and great to see a discussion going on it already too - Ive always strongly felt although PTR overviews / graphs etc are super cool, its not good long term for poker having too much advantage that you havent earnt yourself

Great news havent played for months and NEVER planned to play online again due to software which should clearly have been brech of rules from the off.

I will return to the game and am now planning my next excuse for failure as i can no longer use this 1.

If your a great player because you have software tell you everyones betting frequencies and more software to insert bets for you and all you have to do is hit bet or fold so you can keep 5 TRILLION boards going at one time. My questions how many software programs do you need to convince yourself your a great player. the answer should be none.

IMO, this is the best news of April.
I've never been able to run trackers properly and don't want to lose time learning how to make it run. On the other hand, if i ever had one in french...
The truth is that it shouldn't be allowed to sell/buy HH, not a fair behaviour in my point of view. But trackers are ok to me, as i think it's mostly useful to evolve in our own gameplay.
