IMO I think the players who have evaded paying taxes from their withdraws are on the hunt. Sure they got the poker sites dead to rights same with the banks, but the money from players over the past how many years of not paying taxes will be much more. The difference is now they have the ability to back track it and connect the dots.

And its always about the money.

I think now things have had a couple of day to settle Pokerstars seem to have weathered the storm far better than FullTilt. I think Pokerstars have been very clever, they have targeted the non US market much better than FullTilt. They look in far better shape than FT after Black Friday, and while they may have cut back on the guarantees a bit it seems like business as usual. Pokerstars cash table traffic is maxing at 40k players at peak times while FT are only just topping 15k.

My email inbox is starting to get flooded with offers from all over the pokerverse. While I have a huge amount of sympathy for the US players, maybe this is a little shake up that may benefit us all as players in the long run. There could well be some good offers coming up as the poker rooms fight over players looking for a new home to play.
