The word around the net is that UB have managed to "lose" every account holders personal details. These have all been put online and another poker forum carried a link to the site for around 10 minutes. So you can guarantee that the details will have found there way to some less than savoury characters.

UB Password (this may be encrypted)

It seems that credit card numbers and bank details were missing from the list (lets hope). From a hacking point of view this probably hands nearly enough information to the wrong sort to get into some of your accounts. From an ID theft point of view I'm not sure but I'm not happy that this information of mine is out there.

Today I've been changing passwords on all my poker accounts with money in, also on my payment processor. I am also working on changing my email that I have used for several years and is the one I use for all poker transactions, including UB it has to go.

FUN STUFF iSNT IT, Now Im worried about every smaller site that has my info like everleaf networks and cake skins and merge skins and ANY OF THE SITES INCLUDING PS.

I dont think too many events in 2011 are going to make people want to venture into online poker again, Im so glad Im a 2010 noob, all I have gotten to see is the bad.

If the FT deal gets F'd expect a list to MAGICALLY APPEAR online also

I think reading into it further the mods where it was originally briefly posted have worked out that passwords were not posted

however the fact that all the other info was is disgraceful - it looks likely that its a disgruntled member of staff - but inexcusable none the less - it only harms players

anyway on other points - I think its very relative

UB / Absolute was NEVER a shining example of a poker room(s) since the neo neo and potripper scandals several years ago - the fact that those rooms struggled on (infact got bigger) after that still completely confounds me

I wouldnt compare UB to any other rooms - that isnt to say other rooms arent with their faults but I dont see it likely that the bigger skins on Cake, Merge or indeed sites like Stars would let confidential info like this out

but your right DanAbs 2011 has not been a good year for online poker in anyway - whether things will recover and get back on track in 2012 remains to be seen

NAH, If they have all that info, what on UB do you think didnt get your PW or Credit card number or bank account number on that spreadsheet.

SO someone took all that info off UB and left the most important way to rob anyone they want off that list, lets be realistic.

There is no recourse and then everything gets too F'd up HOW DO YOU MAKE A WORLD WIDE NETWORK that will be regualted but prevent all the stuff that seems to be the history of online poker.

ON AN offnote when I knew nothing about online poker like 2004 a plumber had to repipe a house i used to own and he told me he lost $600 playing online poker last night but that was ok casue he would get it back tonight. He was a real biker dude and I was too concerned about getting my pipes right but I wish Id asked about this online poker stuff
