Freeroll Strategy?
Have you ever noticed in free rolls that the pre flop play is usually limp or all in? try raising a good percentage of your chip stack with a good ace or small pocket pair instead of going all in. That tells people your stronger then if you just go all in. If you hit the flop check, if you miss. bet the same amount you raised with, that usually works.
I once played a freeroll satellite where I went all-in before the flop every hand. I was called about 1/3rd of the time. I lasted 30+ mins and I lost with the best hand.
I play a lot of freerolls and if I did not double my stack between the first ten hands i probably play tight. In the early stage you see a lot of players going all inn or betting and bluffing, that's the time to get the chips. After all why do you invest your time on a freeroll? To earn some money, it's just like a company, you invest to make profit
Only play high cards and suited connecters, wait till the flop is right and try an all in or a medium raise if ur very confident in winning this hand. If u have high stack try bluffing more often, i must tell u need balls to raise with bad cards..
i think you should do as u said.. Fold with bad hands or just call bb with OK hands. If you got something GREAT go all in without hesitate.. Just in the start though
freerolls in the beginning are tough because you have a number of people going all in early on looking to get lucky & if not they're on to the next freeroll. my strategy is to basically fold for the 1st 2 blind levels unless i have big PP AA,KK,QQ, or AK suited then i play strong at the pot & hope the donkey's don't get lucky
