that's the freeroll.. you should always call allin with AA or KK ...
for me, it depends of player.. if i'm against tight players, i should not call pairs like JJ, TT, 99.... maybe i'll do against some agressive who go all in with nothing..
it's all about lady luck... you can lose AA with 62 unsuited!
I play a pretty tight game, but if I have a good paired pocket hand, I'm going to call an all in especially if they are being overly aggressive and I feel it's very possible they just have like 8-2 or something. It takes a lot of luck in those huuuuge freeroll tournaments and if you want to have a big stack and compete with the chip leaders sometimes you have to loosen up your games. I just won $10 in one of the 2000 registrants absolute poker freerolls but i consider getting more than $1 in those nearly impossible. You have to be extremely lucky.
Genrally I try to play very tight at the beginning of most freerolls. There are so many all in on the fist hand fish in these things that hand selection becomes even more important. I limit myself to big aces and the big pocket pairs QQ, KK, AA to start out hopefully double up then have enough chips to start getting into my game. Patience is paramount in these things and you've gotta survive long enough to make it to the final table if you actually want to make decent money.
sometimes you gotta call all-in .. in the early stages of tourney "idiots" move in with garbage... if you have good hand you must call (sometimes bad beat happen.. but what the hell..) .. you always play the player, not the hand..
like TJ. Cloutier said : against better players ALL-IN strategy is a good strategy..
I have to agree with you on that one, i try to play a freeroll, just as i would play a buy-in tourney. I try to be polite, but alot of times my guy steals the keyboard and makes smartass comments lol. i am like.....grrrrrrr that is my ID your talking Smack on lol

More than likely the jokers who continuosly go all-in early, will continue to do so and eventually get beat out fairly early on in the tourny. Now if you play a tight aggressive game you will have the disclipline to fold even those gorgeous hands early on...it is quite common that someone else will do the calling for you and you will see all about what the other players at your table are about...(at UB you can even take notes to refer to later on some people like "fish" "early all-inner with crap" "tight aggressive...good player...courtious...good fun match"). By waiting out you understand your table, the people, and then you can feel comfortable calling, raising, or even going all-in. You may not have the biggest stack the first hour of play, but you are still in the tourny, and much of the phony play will be eliminated.
And as soon as you get to know the other players,They move you to another table, where you can sit and watch to get to know the players there, then get moved again..
