the best hand i've heard of is stu ungar calling a guy all in with 10 high. its in his book and im sure the guy is english (was a big player in the 80s but apparently quit after this heads up game) they were heads up for $100,000, flop something like 3 4 8 9 K, ungar puts him on a missed run draw with 6 7 or 5 6 and calls all in with 10 high in his hand!! class call and the guy (asian sounding surname) walked away and never played again!!
