ok - legal disclaimer - this is not advice etc etc

but the US bill the UIGEA - Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act is directed at banks and payment processors NOT players

so without putting to finer point on it players are not and cannot be breaking that act - only the banks / processors and the poker sites

therefore some sites have decided they are open to US players and some have decided they are not

as a player - all you have to do is play at sites that are open to US players - it's the sites and the payment processors problem not players

Wow, I'm a lawyer and I didn't even know that. Great info. Now, please don't bill me $200 an hour for it.
I still get a little spooked by it all but maybe I'll take a closer look at the actual law, that might be a good idea actually doing my own research.
