I think: Zach .. rather stupid to go in - he has a flush draw, ya know it. Just dump the straight, live to fight another day.
I do: All-in $ 890.00
He shows: K 2
I pray: No Club, No Club
Turn: A
I pray: No Club, No Club
River: Q
I pray: Thank you god for no club.
I then start to post how stupid I am for going all in with a straight ... when I knew without a shadow of a doubt that he had a good high flush draw.
Should have dumped my straight - the other player only has to hit once and I am done. Maybe not this time, maybe not next time ... but sooner or later.
... somewhere in the middle of posting all that - I have come to realize that I am a complete moron... one lucky ass moron at that

I think you missed something.
I think many of you missed something.
I went all in with my straight, I wasn't drawing anymore. That was my reality at the moment I went all in.
Let me put this in simple terms.
This thread was self depreciating humor
For what ever reason - my mind saw the flop - and told me I had a straight
I played the entire hand knowing I had a straight (even though I did not)
Even when the hand was over, and I won, I still thought I had a straight
I came over here to make a post about how stupid it is to go all in with a made straight when you know the other player has a flush draw. You do that twice in a tournament - odds are you are no longer in the tournament.
While I was typing out the thread about that... I realized I never had the straight, and felt like a complete idiot, but at the same time - found it rather funny - so just went ahead and finished up making the post.
